So let me get this straight. According to the VSP FAQ - Following the VSP, we do expect that we will need to make further restructuring decisions, and expect to notify anyone whose role is impacted by mid-August. NOW the ones who want to go have to wait it out till next year, but the ones who didn’t take or were not eligible for VSP could be let go? Please please make this make sense? How? And why?

@a5 find a lawyer who can start a class action but just know, VSP stands for voluntary separation program and you signed…. Signed with the fine print of CAN change based on business needs….. what can change….? Amount of offer, separation date ….. this is the problem…. They also advised to run this by an attorney or financial advisor from the beginning…. Centene knows what they are doing …. Everyone just jumped the g-n too easily … which was exactly where they wanted their prey…. I am team workers but clearly the company will not and does not lose

@aa there are a lot of people that didn’t have the vsp option that I’m sure would be fine being laid off!
@a6 I also got 8/2027 and it’s ridiculous to make us ready to go now having to stay and then the ones who want to stay be let go! Ridiculous

@OP my understanding is this, quota met for the VSP= no layoffs for august.
the reason the dates were staggered is because i think there’s a set amount of people to be let go at a time anyways, so those VSP takers will be let go first thing to save the rest, for that time.
@OP is this from update VSP FAQ people have referenced or original VSP. I didn’t sign up for VSP and thought once goal $# reached a RIF would be less likely. Punish those who didn’t take VSP with quicker end days and those that want VSP have longer end dates and will quit too. Who’s gonna be left?
Its such BS - truly. I have a coworker who elected to go - and was given 8/2027 date - and she is ready to go NOW. So, those of us who elected to stay (me) - may just get let go immediately... thats insane... with less money? is that right? craziness...
I wonder if there’s a way to file a class action… this whole situation feels extremely dishonest and immoral. As a new comer to Centene, I’m appalled at how this is being handled. I cannot wait to leave this sinking ship.
I agree this has to be a joke!!! And the ppl that get layed off get the normal severance. Nothing about this make sense.
