I have been looking at the lantern surgery/cancer care card and it requires bariatric surgery just to be able to get that healthcare covered.
What a joke
What kind of cr-ppy insurance is that!!!

@bh You can get GLP-1 through your PCP with pre-existing conditions. Needs to be reviewed and approved by Caremark. No need for Vida.
@e0 Yo whats the price on glp1? Vida was wanting 3 two month trials of noneffective dr-gs before they would entertain glp1. Aint nobody got time for that
@bh thank you for explaining! Yeah, I don’t use insurance for my GLP-1 medication, I just go through one of those virtual care services (Found). The medical visits are covered there, and any non GLP-1 meds, but not the GLP-1. I was already happily using Found before they rolled out Vida, so I just stuck with them. The price isn’t too bad, either.
They make you go through Lantern for Bariatrics and cancer treatment. Unrelated but they also make you go through Vida health to get GLP-1 medication covered by insurance. Lots of stuff they do to try and not cover healthcare.
Can you explain any further? You have to get bariatric surgery before you can receive help arranging cancer care? I’m sure it’s cr-ppy, definitely believe you there, but not understanding the bariatric requirement.
