Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

People on here were saying definite full return to work with announcements this week.
I am a manager in SPS and have heard nothing of this, did people just make this up!

You think honeywell does anything alone? DA is out right this minute chatting up his friends trying to get everyone to end "covid" all at once. It will happen.

I don’t see this happening where I’m at (HCE). We’ve been in a major talent crunch for well over a year which would only get worse. May as well shutter all of the software companies they spent billions to acquire over the years while they’re at it.

Lots of people looking to the exists in SPS, including me. There won't be anyone left to do the work who knows what they are doing... but maybe they don't care.

Fact. SPS director here. Target date was 1/3. Seems HR couldn’t get things done in time. New date is 1/9. We will see what happens next week… GK stated in his email to his direct reports he is hoping attrition will reduce that next RIF count overall in SPS.

Fact. Overheard a two directors talking in hallway next to my cube. Both are 30 year plus POS's. Sounds like coming out soon, but they were informed today. No question, full time back to work coming, per them. They were very worried about the moral hit, and who would be "the trouble makers" in their words. Both mentioned that the ELBOW would be finalized on friday 1/20 , and that "we can deal with the trouble makers at that time". Just as many have said here, PIP and elbow have zero to do with performance.

It’s just a hybrid schedule, until conditions say full time return….there is no formal WFH policy ever since it was canceled several years ago….

It will first be enforced on groups they want to reduce. They have done this selectively in CORP IT, HR, Finance, etc for the past 5 years as either in Offixe Requirements or location (hub strategy) requirements

A lot of my great colleagues were laid off since 2018 under these terms. They hope people will quit so no severance. Most long timers stay for the severance

If you are a manager did you not receive the December attendance spreadsheet with included instructions? Didn’t that tell you everything you need?

Yeh, I got scr€wed too. 5 Months into the job at great expense to myself for the relocation to discover no one knew what they were doing and the team got eliminated in the Rifs. It would make me feel better also to know it was true lol. Upside is that I am out of that sh1thole, I peek in here to popcorn the demise :)

I guess people are making it up. I won’t lie I wanted this to be true for SPS cause I am still bitter about being laid off only after hiring me 4 months ago. 4 months ago they approved additional headcount and then hired me and laid me off. It’s cruel.

Ah, I think some posters just want to store up some emotions.

I say "think" because the group I'm around is ignoring the 3/2 requirement and a couple of the managers are getting upset because they are getting the reports and they aren't looking good.

If enough managers complain it wouldn't surprise me if everyone pays the price. What I don't know is if the policy can change at the business unit level or if it has to be a corp decree.

probably, but dont think for a second its not rolling around in these executives/DA's head. according to the SBG I was part of 3/2 Hybrid was the standard at least for that group...so not sure.
