@dd i wonder if the employee has a say as to when the separation date will be. previous posts stated the PL gave them a choice.
i find it hard to believe that it will be up to the employee though, knowing corporate america lol
@OP ...heard that almost 100% of those who applied for VSP will be approved and exit dates will be staggered starting Sept 4 through the end of the year. It is interesting that it has been very quiet...perhaps leadership has told people leaders to be quiet until notices are sent out.
We're just hoping that today counts as "on or about July 27"

With the way things are going and my team is also acting like nothing is going on, I am now second guessing my decision to take the VSP. Did I make the right decision?
Am I jumping the g-n? All these what ifs. I know i cannot change anything now but it’s in the back of my head.
@ag no one is talking about it on our team either. I would be surprised if anyone did apply. We have a team of about 15.
@am She must be young. This is the third major layoff situation I've been through and the VsP is great for providing an opportunity to cut bait and run without the lingering fear if your job is going to be safe or not. I guess WFH is different because I know if we are all in the office it would be the water cooler talk.
@ag I get it. I was talking to someone earlier this week who said she had forgotten about it. Now, to be fair, she has been with Centene less than 2 years, so she wasn't offered the VSP. She's not worried about being laid off either, I guess.
In my area, in FL, I am the only one I know of that put in for the VSP. No one on my team is talking about it and just working like nothing is going on.

I was informed today that everyone who applied in my business area was approved. notifications with terms and separation dates will be sent early next week.

@OP I am betting most will hear tomorrow. And everyone who applied will get it. I dont think they met their mark and unfortunately there will lay offs. Everyone will get the Sept 4 end date, except those that were asked and agreed to stay longer. This chapter is close to to the end. Hang in there!! Peace

If you took the VSP, you already decided you’re done. The 7/27 notification is just Centene doing paperwork.
Don’t let them drag you through emotional limbo. Shift your focus to life after this place. That’s where the actual future is — not in waiting for a corporation to validate your exit.
