I am just amazed at how people leaders and the uppers have applied for the VSP. Like what do they know that we don't?

Are product leads not supposed to prepare, or are they supposed to wait until the bus hits them? When they first announced layoffs, they said it was company-wide, which applies to every employee regardless of title. Stop reading into every little thing as a sign. Many supervisors visit this site and say they are in the same boat.
When companies do massive layoffs, they often lay off supervisors and directors first because they feel they don’t need a deep chain of management to run a program. Then they lay off employees based on need. Everything is about money; this is purely financial. I hope everyone has a plan in place, regardless of their role.

This ship is sinking and we have been offered a way out. Once all the dust is settled, all that remains will work on ensuring AI implementation will take on the regular work while the other staff just ensures AI is running smoothly. Mission Simplify = less people to pay, more computer processes.
They don’t know much I can guarantee you that. The VSPs are coming from above your PL. Your PL is a minion for the higher ups. PLs don’t make these decisions and most don’t stand by them.
