Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Overtime hours

I recently joined Intel , first off during pay negotiation the HR said the pay range in the job description is a typo and their internal system is showing a much smaller pay range. Is this ethical ?

Secondly, Within the first month I am putting in several afterhours late nights to meet with Asia folks. This was not mentioned in the job description or interview. Is this ethical ? What would happen if I refuse late night hours.

You should either call LBT to get the same pay and compensate for your 8 hours working hours.

Tell your manager to do your works and demand for his/her salary.

Call US labor department to report salary violations

Call FBI to report criminal activities inside Intel.

@ac
The pay range was in the job description but HR communication that their pay range is lower was verbal and HR used that to negotiate the pay down.

Isn’t this labor exploitation

Was the pay range mentioned on paper anywhere? Job offer , listing etc....if so this is considered breach of contract. If so, you have some legal ground and there a few practical things you can now do.

Intel also pulled a similar "bait and switch" with me so i feel for you.

@OP This should not affect your work at Hardees, but go outside and touch grass, ok?
