Ford is preparing to reintroduce the 1972 Ford Pinto!
Ford is currently in discussions with VW to build 1972 Ford Pintos as Ford did in the 1970’s on VW current over capacity production lines. Ford old timers will be called on to assist VW in producing the 1972 Pinto.

I bet the 1972 Pintos could do better yard jobs than your 78 Mustang II.
Back in the 1970’s Cops weren’t to concerned if your Pinto still had tire studs mounted in July. When it comes to doing yard jobs in the summer time. A Pinto mounted with tire studs wins hands down.
I had a 78 Mustang II. Basically a Pinto with a different top hat.
@hb Gold
@gh Bouchard is not a one trick pony after all!
they need to make a stripped down Pony edition of that Mach-E. get the cost down. Pony Escort, remember! Pinto Pony! Let's gooooooo!
I owned a 1972 brown Pinto with rusted out quarter panels. When I was in high school driving the Pinto, it was a total chick magnet. In the Pinto you could easily do burn offs and yard jobs because the rear differential allowed the rear tires to spin, especially if the tires were worn out like mine were.
I take my hat off to VW. They made a smart choice to license the Pinto design from Ford to manufacture and sell the Pintos, they build themselves. Hopefully VW slaps the blue oval on the pintos they build and sell too.
@c2 Why are you associating a tragic car to April Fools Day? You got issues. But it makes sense, because you are on this site.... and still work at Ford..
What's this, April Fools Day ? What's next, the Edsel ?
Fleet quality is about to skyrocket!
These pinto posts weren’t funny the first time you rolled them out.
Not sure where you are getting this. VW plans on cutting 50,000 jobs and eliminating half of its models.
