F5 just appointed a new CPO who was in charge at Wayfair, a company who said employees are like paperclips and has had dozens of layoffs, US office closures in just a couple years.
I wonder what F5 is prepping for...

@1w8 that's correct - PEOPLE == shareholders + top management; She is CPO, not CRO (Chief Resource Officer)
The CPO does not dictate when layoffs happen. Hopefully this new one is better than the last one- who brought in all her own people who then went on a firing rampage within the org and created a toxic culture.
Chief 'People' Officer and absolutely nothing to do with people and putting employees first. The priority is Shareholders, Customers and the board like mostly all corporations.
