The Beauty Queen’s impressive 100% failure rate of her direct hires is something that no organization other than our Company would ever tolerate. She is the epitome of let’s make DEI hires with zero relevant experience and in this case serious character flaws. It’s Las#*r’s failure to tolerate a direct report who’s unparalleled hiring failures (Krispy Kreme anyone?) compounded by performance failures like losing Propel would have cost any GC their job a long time ago. Want to save some money, the Company should be clawing back the obscene VCIP and PSP bonuses the Beauty Queen has received for demonstrating the unique ability of being really bad at her job.
Shouldn’t we be blaming the person that hired her?

Victim blaming, the we-ponization of the function to target employees doing what they should do per the ethics manual is perhaps one of mark la$hiers biggest failures as a CEO. He has allowed this to happen while he sleeps (literally) at the helm of a once great company. Good employees and people have suffered as a result. But what does he care?! He is pocketing hundreds of millions.
Any, or all of the former Compliance team members she unfairly mistreated and drove away returning would be a powerful story to tell. Her biggest “strategic priority” was renaming the function from Global Compliance & Ethics to Global Ethics & Compliance, all while consistently behaving in ways that were anything but ethical. The contrast between her branding obsession and her conduct speaks for itself.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if one or the other of the previous Compliance managers came back with a well deserved title and pay upgrade after what they had to endure?
