The collective US private and public sectors crossed $113T in debt already according to USDebtClock.org. The federal debt is still less than $39.5T and the federal government has far more effective ways to reduce its debt than does the private sector. Enjoy that 40+ P/E while it lasts!
H-1B, AI, regulatory capture, decreasing value of education, legacy, technical debt, etc... If you want to understand where things are going you need to integrate all these and more to get a decent picture.
@OP Apparently it’s quite the opposite! H1B’s will be converted this next round of what’s left and any contractors! Sales and managers are being cut this round + anyone not using AI as they should be!!!

LR target on positions, it is not based on who you are, American or immigrants. The purpose of LR is to improve productivity and profitability. So focus on your core competitive value to survive.

As companies layoff and blame AI for the cuts, the national debt hits 50 trillion never to be paid back the USA is headed for a crash of the currency and unemployment rates like 1933. All the foreigners here that are oddly still working as H1B or illegals here on welfare will be looked at much more harshly by the actual citizenry and a trip home will be much more appealing.
