Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

I'm completely drained from the neverending worry about layoffs

I know that asking when the next round will happen is probably pointless because nobody really knows, nut I can never stop myself. It used to be that layoffs were rare events, but now they feel like a regular occurrence. That's not acceptable and I refuse to pretend it is.

@h1 - It's ironic that they'll end up cutting their good employees, while leaving the not so great ones who are just coasting due to burnout/being tired of all the bs.

@gy fantastic - I hope I'm on it. Why couldn't they just do it all at once. Probably waiting for critical work to be completed and then get rid of the poor souls who worked their @sses off and actually want to be here.

I don't want to get laid off because.im one year away from 401k vesting... but after that, go for it. The micromanaging and changes every other week is becoming exhausting... on top of the fact that they're raiding employee bonuses by rigging the metrics.
