Morale is in the absolute gutter

I've never seen morale drop this low. It almost seems like leadership is doing this on purpose and I can't understand why.

There are so many great companies, offering superior positions, with excellent pay. No need to remain in a prison cell. You can control your own situation, by working at another place which treats you well.

@an No one is forcing anyone to work there. Someone who doesn't like the culture or pay can quit tomorrow.

As a former work of 25 years who was discarded.
Yes this used to be a great place to work at.

The company gave great raises and bonuses to people who worked hard and produced.
The company used to sponsor concerts and summer events during the summer.
That is why morale was high and people never left the company until they decided to
retire.

Now the place is like a prison camp
