Anybody else tired of working with a perpetual axe hanging over their head? I really can't wait for this whole thing to be over, even if I end up being laid off. I just can't stand this feeling of uncertainty anymore.

@p1 sounds like a comment from a shady and stupid boss.
@p1 loyal to who? You? Thank again boss.
@p1 you must be their boss. So transparent.
Do not work too hard or care too much either Caribbean remote worker. Your no-work no-show boss could feel threatened.
@OP as long as you remain fiercely loyal and stealth there is nothing to worry about Caribbean remote worker.
I am a Caribbean remote worker and I certainly feel an axe looming over my head lately and my boss’s too.
@cp I agree completely with this statement. Every year, it's the same story. And not to place any blame on us employees, but it is a known fact that this is how working at Paramount is like (at least for the last 5 years). It won't change. If that looming threat is too much for you, it's time to jump ship. Don't expect the threat to go away after the next round.
Hold out for your severance golden ticket.
@a2 don't disagree but it's not that easy for everyone
ur not alone. Feeling same
@OP The company has been undergoing layoffs for the last two years. The next round that happens after the WP merger will definitely not be the last. If you are really at a breaking point, you should definitely be actively jobhunting, but honestly… anything in entertainment or tech (whichever you equate Paramount with) is probably not going to be more of the same. That is the nature of these two industries and of corporate life in general.
@OP Not tired. I believe DE wouldn't lay people off in this economy.
Take control and leave. There are jobs out there still remote that pay well.
