Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Don't Believe the Hype

This extension isn't for you, this mass exodus just didn't fit their timeline. My guess is there will be a lot of rah-rah bullsh-t next week, and guilt tripping.

Do what's best for you, not the shareholders. Project Simplify isn't over, they just want you to forget about it right now.

@kz Just my 2 cents! We all have our own perspectives. If this isn't your cup of tea, feel free to just scroll on by. It's totally free to ignore, so no need to get worked up over it! 😊

@kf

Here you go with this same post content, verbatim, copy/pasting it onto thread after thread, in the Centene section of this site!

https://www.thelayoff.com/centene

You are very determined to try to do some sort of damage control here, by copy/pasting that same B.S. on thread after thread. "Leadership holds all the cards"...LOL

Is that why "leadership" had to backtrack and change the VSP policy, once they saw the deluge of numbers of people who applied for it? Suddenly the "leadership" tone changed from "take it or leave it" (where most people took the offer) to "hey wait a minute guys, we need to change things up a bit here...we need more time to process things."

GTFO with your B.S.
Everyone can see through it, and you're fooling no one.

Honestly, no one knows what leadership will do, and they hold all the cards. Speculating on every rumor isn't going to change the outcome. In the end, it boils down to two options: accept the Voluntary Separation Program (VSP) or risk an involuntary layoff. It’s a financial decision for the company, not a personal one. My best advice is to stop stressing over the noise and focus on preparing for whichever scenario comes your way.

@a6 have you seen the knuckleheads in charge.

I wonder how many are just on vacation next week - so they pushed it back for them

@OP I am formulating my own 'project simplify' to reduce and eventually eliminate the emotional turmoil and mindf*ck this place is causing. Whether apply for VSP or not. Yes, I have gone back and forth since June 16th email. Either scenario, the only thing that made sense was to begin job search. Have an interview in 6 days. Hope I get it, but will continue search if not to be. It is the only thing that makes sense to me, to get away from Centene. They will su-k the life out of me, and sp-t out my carcass when they're done.

@a6 The logic is this: they are making everything uncertain so that we have to find another job and just quit with no VSP, severance, or unemployment paid out of their pocket. No one can interview and set a start date with a prospective employer especially too far out and with that target date continuously changing. So they expect us to just walk with nothing rather than pass up a good job opportunity.

@a6 the logic is whatever works best for them

If it’s meant for people who want to leave, how does changing the dates help them start a new job, retirement, or whatever plans the person originally had? Why not just tell people who are affected and give them time to look for a job if that’s their plan? Can anyone explain the logic in this?
