Serious question: what are the repercussions of gutting UM staff if we are expected to meet TAT or face penalties??

@a5 I definitely see that happening. We got a team email yesterday asking for volunteers to be on work groups that will focus on standardizing process across all LOB. Sounds like they want to eliminate a lot of us and the rest cross trained to work on any and all LOB and plan states. I didn't bother volunteering. I doubt I'll be here past August at this rate.
Entry level UM is mostly data entry which can be concerning esp with a big push with AI. Things can still be reviewed by nurses prior to approval but the initial phase can be replaced
@OP they have eliminated UM teams in a recent past, and spread out their responsibilities to other teams.
It doesn’t seem they care about anything at this point sad to say.
That’s what i’d like to know as well.
