Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Expert Labs in the USA

Where is the work in Expert Labs in the US? There is no work at all, customers are not signing anything and it looks like everybody is busy (wasting their time) with Bob!

@dt yep. Having IBM on your resume screams you take no risks. Your "skills" do not exist or are 30 years obsolete. Your are part of the walking dead plodding 1 foot in front of the other day after day week after week month after month. You think cloud is the puffy white thing in the sky and a server is the person who brings you food.

@dr

I agree with you, though there are still some smart people in Expert Labs, but they are leaving quickly.

I think they rolled TLS into Expert Labs so there is a mirage of incoming revenue since TLS is mostly hw and sw support and break fix on contracts that have been in place for decades. All IBM does to grow it is raise prices 6-8% every year. Expert Labs should have gone to the body shop formerly known as kyndryl. Nobody pays any attention to IBM now that they have hired and promoted a bunch of cheer leaders vs wicked smart people or true leaders and managers like they had for decades.

If IBM could get rid of expert labs itself by assigning PIP it would - brick and mortar is not that easy to write off

Experts lab is an oxymoron, it is a bunch of useless people with expertise.
