Does anyone know when layoffs will resume? I thought we were safe for a while but now I'm not so sure.

Ugh
Over the next 1.5 years, “offsetting” HOU employees for more ENGINE folks will be happening ~ 20% petrotechs over time but not all at once is the latest consistent rumor
ABU likely to cut jobs before Christmas
AW warned in a recent call that staff reductions would be ongoing vs in ‘waves’.
Indeed, most recently…

@b2 What are the shake ups in S&T? What's ATS?
@b2
I agree with your thoughts, however what I have seen Ruth the Engine is the operation has grown too rapidly and there is a lack of effective productivity. I have worked with a subset of people and they are not bad workers but they are not integrated into the company effectively. I have heard similar feedback from other teams and people I know and trust. Rapid growth at the capacity Chevron is expecting from the engine is not achievable and we are already seeing cracks in the organization leading to efficiency.
End of year. More jobs need to move to ENGINE. Big shake up in S&T - in particular ATS is going to be Merged with Subsurface
Chevron needs to bunch disposable assets with people. The Hess GoA assets are best divested or decommissioned asap. CVX will need to purchase at least 2 companies before 2028 results…it will be increasingly difficult to justify SEC approval once there is a change in Administration
As sure as the sun rises another layoff is coming. They’ve happened on average every 4.5 years throughout my 30 year career. They used to cycle with downturns, but not anymore.
