Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Being laid off has been a nightmare

I can't get interviews for roles that match my experience, so I've been applying for entry level jobs just to get some money coming in, since severance is melting away. Each one of them said I'm overqualified and would leave too fast. So what am I supposed to do?

@OP - there's nothing I can say that will make this easier but I can corroborate what others have said - tailor your CV to the role you're applying for. Also, do not use AI to help you compose, even if you feel compelled to do so - AI will not help here. Also, focus on what you want to do - don't apply for a role because you need a job; I know that sounds callous but it will not serve you well while you look for something new.

@a4 I was going to say the same thing. Maybe have two versions of your resume?

Wishing you well as you work through this. Perhaps others have some advice to share? Let's be kind, since the axe hangs high.
