L3Harris's Rank - WSJ - The 2026 Best Companies for the Future

The Wall Street Journal evaluates how leading US corps stack up in 6 areas: AI readiness, innovation, talent readiness, financial fitness, resilience and agility.

L3Harris ranks #237 overall with an Overall Score of 50.0, placing it 21st out of 55 Capital Goods companies. Its best factor is Agility Rank #91, which is relatively strong. Innovation is #215, Talent Readiness is #287, and Financial Fitness is #344.

The weak point is AI Rank #330, with Resilience also below average at #287. The data suggests L3Harris has some operational adaptability, but not enough strength in AI, innovation, or financial fitness to rank among the best defense and aerospace names. Strategically, the company screens as relevant but not structurally advantaged in the future-readiness framework.

They haven't tracked the most important metric: Quiet firing: When an employer makes a job unrewarding, stagnant, or unpleasant in an attempt to compel the employee to resign.
It is a common tactic that has been in practice at L3 for years. If that metric were tracked L3 would probably be a leader in the industry in that respect.
