We have the numbers for IBEW 21 in the CO and power. Call the co in downtown. As far as the outside techs who by miracle of their savior Papa Wright, keep “qualifying “ for co jobs ask someone in the outside forces for that number. Union isn’t disclosing anything. Not even a seniority list when asked for. But eh “at least we still have a job”

Retirements we’re around 400 for the year, with close to 300 being on 12/31.

Here is the reality. it’s doesn’t matter if you are craft r management, layoffs will stay consistent. The strategy is really simple to understand if you take the time to observe what’s going on. The company margins and negative revenue growth force the company to do two basic things. 1. Layoff as many as possible without impacting very basic company functions 2. When layoffs are made and replacement workers are needed ( by design) they replace with lower cost employees. This hasn’t changed for 10 years, and will continue until the board decides what pieces to spin off and sell. Rather than focusing resources on technology improvement and services they always look to cut the most expensive resource…people. This tells you all that you need to know about the future of the company sadly.
