Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

For Sale

Time to hang a For Sale sign in the window. We’ve heard speculation for years about selling off parts but why not the whole thing? Even if it’s parts to multiple buyers.

Fiserv has (perhaps not intentionally) what can be termed as a "poison pill" that would prevent buy-out - that being nearly 30 billion dollars in debt. Take a close look at the balance sheet and you will see that they are under-water in terms of actually value.

That 30 billion was the value of the company previously extracted out by PE and leadership. What is left is a zombie corporation that low tier execs can swoop in and extract the last bits of value before collapse.

They should have sold the ACH business to FIS a long time ago

It'd be interesting if Truist bought a chunk of Fiserv... let Takis have the Clover side while ML takes the core side.

I’m in the train of thought as well, wouldn’t at all be surprised by some PE buyouts of various business lines. It might make the most sense to get rid of some dead weight. It seems Fiserv has lost their vision, instead of intense focus on what they do well.
