I'm in sales and our leads have dwindled down to NOTHING. How are we supposed to grow the company if we have nothing new coming in?

OT systematically destroyed any chance of winning new logos by dismantling significant portions of our GoToMarket capability.
Sales, being the only ones left, will take the blame in the coming months and end up being shredded because they weren’t “good enough”.

There's no point in Marketing. Actually, lots of money saved without stupid Aviators mascots marketing AI which is not our product but 3rd party add-ons.
OT need product and people investments first before Marketing is even worthwhile. Can't market a product differentiator if we don't develop any innovations.
It also doesn't help that to save cost, OT removed renumeration on leads generated internally.
If you are Sales, you are better off with another company that have invested innovative products which makes them attractive to customers and looks after it's workforce.
There is no elevator pitch out there that can convince any company not already committed to OpenText to want to start a relationship with OpenText. In the enterprise software world, OpenText has a well-earned reputation as the final resting place for legacy applications with a massive, complex portfolio built heavily on aggressive mergers and acquisitions rather than organic innovation.
For a company starting with a blank slate, looking for modern, agile, user-friendly SaaS, OpenText is almost never on the shortlist. However if do have an "elevator pitch" that works, but it is aimed at a very specific, high-stakes buyer. They aren't selling to the end-users; they are selling to the Chief Risk Officer, the General Counsel, or the CIO of a massive, heavily regulated enterprise. And our Marketing team and account development reps were simply not equipped to create compelling events that would result in a solid lead. That’s why we not count on sales to do that.
Their true growth strategy doesn't rely on an elevator pitch at all. It relies on acquisition. The most common way a company starts a "new" relationship with OpenText is by waking up to find that OpenText just bought the software vendor they are already locked into. Suddenly, that net-new relationship is actually just a forced renewal conversation under a new, much stricter auditing and licensing regime. But now that that era is over we simply hope for sales to perform miracles or heavily farm the contract base squeezing water out of a rock.
