@bb you mean to tell me “The Guarantee” didn’t improve value?? Impossible! We are quite literally guaranteeing to give customers what they paid for… What could be better than that?
@at People buy this stock primarily for the dividend, which is why it often acts as a defensive safe haven during market turmoil. You’ll frequently notice T trading green on days when the broader market is red.
The issue is that the investment thesis has become almost entirely dividend-driven. Many investors hold it for the yield rather than for growth. As a result, the stock tends to exhibit low volatility and limited downside risk, but also limited upside potential. There simply hasn’t been a compelling growth story or meaningful value creation narrative for quite some time.
@at it’s called the ex-dividend dump, but this time is different with the upcoming space x IPO. Also liquidating and rotating
@b8 imagine thinking you need to RTO to “actually work” in 2026 LOL
RTO and actually work.
You know what happens when you let clowns run the show? You get a circus! And that’s exactly what we have at AT&T!
There is a pattern emerging the month before end of quarter. Stock declines and then at quarterly earnings we exceeded expectations and just like that stock goes back up (hovering where it normally was before another decline). Q2 earnings is 7/22 pay attention to the stock price, earnings call, and how we surprised even ourselves with FCF.
@a5 But when the stock price goes up you bootlickers attribute it to RTO, so which is it? You can’t have it both ways.
Sure RTO has to do with the stock price. Some people on this board are id--ts. Stop complaining about RTO it isn’t stopping
