Cloud Migration : Gunjan Should Push Dilip to Reorganize This Organization

AC and his direct leadership team represent a significant leadership investment, yet employees continue to ask a simple question: What measurable value has been delivered from the cloud migration program?

The organization has become increasingly management-heavy, with governance and project management often taking precedence over technical leadership and engineering execution. Many engineers feel that recognition and rewards are concentrated within leadership, while delivery teams carry the majority of the execution burden.

Before investing further in new transformation initiatives, Gunjan should push Dilip to review and reorganize this organization, assess its effectiveness, and ensure leadership costs, accountability, and business outcomes are properly aligned.

Over the past year, Mr. Lucero has been a significant expense to the Cloud Migration program, yet his role, accountability, and tangible contributions remain unclear. Why is he conducting AWS onboarding interviews instead of focusing on Senior Principal Engineer responsibilities in partnership with Hewitt ? Who can explain this in cloud migration?

This is just a fact for US Bank life.

Here, people from India do not push other people from India.

Also, MC all is one happy, demented family. Like criminals they stick together

Many engineers and leaders across Business Technology know who is actually driving strategy and execution. Can leadership provide transparency on who approved J. Olla’s promotion and Sanders’ Legends recognition, and the specific results that justified those decisions? AC has stated he was not involved in the promotion decision for J. Olla or the Legends recognition for Sanders.

The cloud migration has been a failure for years and years. Under old leadership and new. This was one of the reasons why TAS had to lay people off because it created a $400 million hole in the budget for promises that never came to fruition thanks to Dilip and his McK brain trust failures

AC and his direct leadership team do not justify the level, compensation, or impact expected of their roles. The technology and execution gap is increasingly visible across business lines. Meanwhile, Business Technology leaders and frontline teams continue to deliver and keep initiatives moving. AC’s boss should objectively review AC role overall including his directs.

A review of AC’s organization could unlock substantial cost savings, potentially nearing $10M annually. The current structure appears top-heavy, with trusted advisors and senior leaders—including his directs and Kaul, Sanders, Hewitt, and Lucero—adding significant management expense while execution outcomes remain difficult to quantify. Leadership should evaluate organizational efficiency, accountability, and value delivery against investment.

The bank is working as hard as they can to please the RTO crowd. Management works 24 hours a day thinking about how to off shore your position to allow you to stay home all day, every day. Once you are RIF'd, you can then live in your jammies and slippers. Never leaving the house.

They’re not going to push their own kind. Only hiring more of their own.

We know you hate AC and that the cloud migration is doomed. You post about it at least once/month

Usbank destroys US jobs and creates jobs in India. I am a manager and have never been able to backfill any open spot with onshore employees for over 5 years now. The role just disappears or now just goes offshore or to contractor. Having a career at usb is officially dead. Life in a corporation this big in America is a dead end now. American middle and working class is slowly dying. I dread what my kid will have to deal with in 10 years when they start their career.

The cloud migration is to transition offshore to the global capability center for developers in India and Poland to access - it's not about you.

Over and over, we keep seeing people showing up here ranting about 30 mile radius, RTO, cloud and not realizing the big picture of lift and shift your entire job, your entire organization to a GCC.

Her only concern is the stock price and the next quarterly earnings report. I don’t think she cares about anything other than that.
