@bj don’t worry, red badges that are left will be converted after this next quarter to blue. 2700 will be cut for AI reasonings. Cut dates are August 27th. 🤫. Don’t take my word for it though.

@aj A rising tide lifts all boats. Cisco's up right now, but only because demand for networking gear is so high that even the laggards float. Don't confuse that with winning. Cisco is losing badly to its competitors in almost every area. Think ANET, DDOG, PANW, ZM.

Nvidia's Jensen Huang just declared Nvidia the largest networking company in the world. Remember Chuck bragging that Nvidia came knocking on Cisco's door, at their request? Guess they didn't like what he brought to the table, because now they're doing it all themselves.

Bad news for employed engineers in USA:

A federal judge on Monday struck down a $100,000 fee that U.S. President Donald Trump imposed on new H-1B visas for highly skilled foreign workers, concluding that it ‌constituted an unlawful tax that Congress never authorized.
U.S. District Judge Leo Sorokin in Boston issued the ruling in a lawsuit filed by 20 Democratic state attorneys general challenging a fee Trump announced in September that dramatically raised the cost of obtaining H-1B visas.

More asinine takes from this site, particularly:

  • A deep & seemingly insightful revelation that everyone else already knows
  • Obligatory RTP is closing
  • A loser will post something he thinks is helpful only to be ridiculed to oblivion, while butt-hurt betas come to the rescue
  • Tons of people will make ret@rded posts that wouldn't be necessary if they just paid attention to publicly available information
  • Someone will claim an arbitrary % of ppl will be laid off at some future point
  • Bots will continue to post here, and we'll continue to reply
  • Same thing will happen again next week, and the week after that.
