Anybody else about to say fu-k it all and quit without a backup plan because their manager is nothing but a bully who has to compensate for his own many insecurities by putting his subordinates down every chance he gets? Welcome to the new Oracle, I guess.

I had one of those managers in product support, sorry director level is just as bad.. Glad I am out. Sweatshop management.
@fs I totally agree! Oracle is infested with incompetent middle managers. I know a handful of them who actually do anything worthwhile, but the rest? They're completely useless!
This is nothing new. A solid career at oracle is fully dependent on your organizational structure and your leader.
Performance, it's really not a factor it's a matter of political connections and will you kiss a**. Many managers have air cover by their leader and completely violate oracle values. They are political backstabbers that want to protect their own turf at the expense of others. That is the game...full stop.
Yep, and managers that don't have any plan, just loads of underhand moves that are hard to pin down as nothing is in writing. HAD ENOUGH OF IT, so ideas strike is now in full force, not finishing anything and waiting to be forced into unemployment I guess. I'll find something....
Go take a Friday off for PTO. Apply to as many jobs as you can, then go for a long walk.

I had a colleague who would "angry apply" to other roles every time the manager would get on his nerves. He ended up with a new role and an IC bump.
