Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

When do notices this month go out?

Is it 6/12 or 6/15?

@c7 "demotivated for the rest of the week."

That ship sailed a few years ago.

@c4 I have been with the company a long time. And have dismissed rightfully previous claims. But too many dots connect this time.

@j2 Also note, Dist 6 contract ratified May 22nd. They cleared that hurdle. Dist 3 expires early next year. Lays would push us into the 3rd quarter (which they do) in my opinion this save them in terms of purchasing medical benefit packages, early vacation bidding... to name a few

I am not certain of the date, but I believe WFH Customer Loyalty in the Southeast under the Black Contract District 3 is going. Our management staff is a skeleton crew at best. We have not had a team meeting or coaching in almost two months — about the same time our director was let go.
I have not seen my manager active in Teams chat more than seven days total over the past two months. For the month of May, sales metrics dropped significantly, well below 100%, compared to above 150% for all sales metrics over the previous six months.
Rest assured, at any other time management would be conducting coaching sessions, team meetings, live listening, and every known form of micromanagement known to man regarding sales.
I suspect the sales drop is related to queue management. It is not realistic that all WFH agents in the Southeast decided to stop selling in May simultaneously. We also appear to be receiving mostly repeat and internal transfer calls. Either AT&T decided to reduce our compensation through commission, manipulated the queue, or likely both. I also believe they may be routing organic first-time calls elsewhere, as those are more fruitful for sales opportunities.
In the last few days, our group was moved under a regional director in Atlanta versus St. Louis, which aligns with the District 3 CWA geographic region. Notably, AT&T surplused 309 District 3 workers shortly after the 2024 contract ratification — a documented pattern worth considering.
Additionally, I recently received a notice that my RSA token access will be removed on June 15th, which also affects access to the employee benefits portal.
Could this be a restructure? Perhaps. But that does not explain the operational neglect in the meantime.

Best guess is 6/12 so people have the weekend to cool off. If they tell people on Monday, they’ll be demotivated the rest of the week.

@c4 hundreds of people post to this site anonymously. Just because half the people want to be laid off doesn’t mean the other half do. D-mba$$

People have posted on this site for 3 years begging to be laid off from this terrible, nasty Company. Some even asked how to get on the "layoff list" Now that the time has come, the whining and crying starts. Do you really want to leave or just complain?

Hearing June 15. Some groups will be impacted harder than others, but told it’s a minimum 10% across the board. Everybody will know somebody impacted. Stanks will then go on the talk shows talking about AI efficiency as the reason (fake news).

They were notified a few weeks back when their accounts were locked.

If you were one of the employees who had an unexpected account lockout the week before Memorial Day, this was unofficial notice.

Just take vacation on all of the suspected days. If they can’t notify you they can’t remove you and will just go to the next person on the list.

Just met with someone who was laid off and she was told 10 business days until she was off payroll on June 4th. I think the 15th is the likely date
