Verizon giving SMB positions to indirect retailers?

I’ve seen most indirect retailers are hiring for newly created small business account managers. Does Verizon have a plan to layoff some of their VBG employees? I’ve heard that Verizon is making the retailers hire that position. Anyone hear anything similar?

Rich Balot Vitras CEO also commented on an openeing position for 3 markets. Looks like they are also included in VEC. They are either hiring to take over CE roles or maybe taking over the EM role which is already 3rd party

It's R2B they do a sh-t ton of isign and slamming so if you are comfortable with that and you dont have any integrity you will do well at Victra other than that I would stay the he-l away from a retailer like Victra. Only the slamaholics make it obviously Verizon loves them though they keep getting more stores

@av oh yes, let’s compare one tu-d with another. Totally reasonable conclusions when comparing garbage to more abusive garbage. You have to be a corporate stooge chiming in.

@at I looked at the compensation package and compared it to the old r2b comp plan and it’s actually very similar and you get mileage reimbursement etc for on-site meetings when you are not at your indirect store or stores you support. So all you r2b people on here complaining about how you are being paid pennies with the new plan and you are mad bc you “didn’t sign up for field sales you signed up to support retail” literally just look up your local victra open job reqs and go back and do the same thing for Victra lol. Pay is similar and then you can stay in that retail environment if that’s what you prefer.

I have seen that as well here locally in my state. But to be clear the title is specifically “business manager”. That’s because they are not account managers as they will not have a set base of Verizon business accounts that role to them. Account managers have a base of accounts they manage. They are just victra business managers meaning they literally do the entire job of the old r2b account managers other than managing a base of accounts. Victra is kinda smart they knew that Verizon was going to be pulling the R2B reps out of corporate stores and as a result that would create an influx of customers that they can now capture from corporate if they offer a legit business manager at their indirect store that can assist in person whereas now the corporate stores do not have that. They will only have retail reps and click to call to send customers to business inside sales as a business on demand lead. So it’s a value add to Victra’s business model to make a case to visit a Victra over corporate.

The job title is remote, meaning they should have been detached from stores. But less see what happens.
