We were told every day is a drop in location at Bedminster. So why do people have personal stuff (including plaques) at "open" desks? Name plates also....

I just move stuff and say it was empty.
@pw there will be even more free desks there by July. Take a look to your right and left. At least one person sitting directly adjacent to you will no longer be here next month.
@rn nah. Not even remotely true. NJ is the only office the company owns outright. Likely will be the last one standing when the dust settles
All NJ locations are toast, either go to Plano or pursue employment opportunities elsewhere.
I’m in Bedminster and there are enough desks. Don’t worry about some people keeping a plaque at a desk. Just sit somewhere else.
@m6 , how virtuous of you. If “everyone” found a seat, then the problem is solved. There’s no doubt that the “powers that be” are intentionally putting the scr3ws to us, as they want folks leaving any way without severance $. FYI, I’m courteous & affable unless folks don’t reciprocate .
If everyone has found and claimed a seat and are coming in 5 days a week for 8 hours a day then find one for yourself and stop causing trouble. Be respectful of your co-workers who have found a seat. There is no reason to go along with the manufactured chaos that is being put upon us.
Challenge the VP, not the person sitting at the desk. Challenge GRE. They are in charge of the buildings and workspace. Several teams who need to “collaborate” are now being grouped by GRE in a space under their department. So within “their” plot of land, they probably picked desks. Nothing wrong with that.
Clear it up with YOUR department, silly. If you get no support, go higher until they just put you on a PIP and make you leave.

Because they got tired of the “drop-in” vibe. Do the same and claim a desk. 5x8 isn’t a drop-in schedule.
