Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Our managers yelled at us in front of HR

What the he-l kind of leadership is that?? How is that acceptable? This place used to have good managers. Now all of them have been laid off or left and we're stuck with new id--ts with zero people skills and even less knowledge. No wonder this place is sinking as fast as it is.

@1ag I have proof too - as well as retaliation when asked them to stop. I would not hesitate to join a class action

@19y I would jump on this so fast I would trip. My boss screams at us when they are mad. So much so that people don’t want to give feed back to the team to save them the hearing loss. I asked them to stop multiple times and got retaliated against. I have it all documented. Let’s do this

@19y I agree and is currently considering legal action due to the tons of proof (mental health related), and other unethical things. Like this is the type of stuff we need to move on and bring light too. Side note: no one likes the word ‘union’, either.

@19w then hire an employment lawyer and sue company for mental abuse and permanent mental anguish that caused employees to lose their source of income and way of life that caused irreparable destruction to their lives.

Better yet, get other employees on the call to join the suit and make it a class action.

@17e, a complaint for what? I got yelled at? It’s almost funny. Won’t be taken seriously.

@k8 you can file an anonymous complaint through the ethics office reporting system - look for instructions on Iris

@k8 sounds like my manager before he took the package. Wager good money he even had a mouse wiggler.

Well, what was the yelling? This doesn't sound like a big deal. I've heard managers scold their teams. I don't see how that, by itself, is an HR violation.

Sure, poor management skills, but not a reprimandable offence.

What happened?

@m7 use the My HR assistant in teams.

@k8 you can always ask co pilot and it will give you the Cigna specific guidelines for filing a concern.

Is there a way to anonymously report your manager to HR? My WAH manager is unavailable for long periods every day. Our department is drowning in work while he puts in a good 10 hours of work a week. He basically monitors his email and Teams while he is out playing golf, running errands, etc. It is infuriating.

Yeah, I agree taking VRP as well. I hope it's not a one time deal and still offered.

Oh, of course it’s definitely someone from the illustrious 3rd world country with fake accent, freshly migrated from TCS/Wipro/Infosys/Accenture finishing school, arriving fully equipped with their trademark lack of ethics full on micromanaging and that signature “tell me how to serve you” posture. Because we clearly needed more of that energy in pharmacy and reporting.

Don’t shame this person please. You can’t walk in someone else’s shoes. No need for that on this forum.

This confirms my decision to take the VRP last year was a good one.
