Aren’t we supposed to be moved by end of year? Or are we all Getting canned?

@OP there will be no corporate risk employees or managers in NYC by the end of the year. They will either be offered NJ, move outside of risk, or be out the door. This movement started at the end of March.

Same situation (gossip, concerns, no information) as we had for West End Center in Winston Salem NC

There was a large ~150 person layoff, then the next year the building was sold and those remaining were told to work from home. Basically wait to be laid off.

Given what happened to us, suggestions for you include Up you meds or get on meds. Quiet Quit by putting ear buds in and ignore EVERYONE. Stop listening to the rumors - they will only get any anxiety ramped up.

Take care of you.

@e9+1ksjzv85s

NC is the top state in the company in layoffs right now. Not shocking really, as more and more former hubs and admin sites are shut down Shart "has" to find people to fire from somewhere and NC is one of the few places that has many people left.

@dr

If you are in Charlotte there is far less chance of being laid off. They are reducing costs and NYC (NJ, SF) headcount is more expensive. Plus, it will be way easier to find a job. All new postings will be in CLT. Dare I mention easier to get a job at another bank in CLT? Banks are quietly vacating NYC, its toxic.

@ap why would anyone relocate now, only to be laid off later?? WF leadership has no moral compass and doesn’t care if you relocated for the company.

They will pull your number and get rid of you before you’re even done unpacking at your new location.

We’ve all been warned

@cw

Generally though corp risk wants out of high cost locations, including NY, NJ, SF. The exit will be bumpy, some combination of displacement and attrition. New postings will be in Charlotte unless there is a special need.

The exit will be EOY 2027. Not everyone will make it to HY. Expect layoffs.

I was wondering when people would post this...I didn't want to be the first.

Yes, people are being relocated or displaced from 42nd street. It doesn't matter when the lease is up because they're planning the displacements in 2027. Space is not zero in 2027 but will be shrunk substantially, at least for corp risk. Relocation options are Charlotte, Charlotte, Charlotte, Charlotte, or Iselin (maybe, if there is space). At your own expense.

Ask for relocation and move now, beat the rush.

No, the lease is not up in 2026. I believe it's 2028. They are trying to figure out what to do about the people that can't fit at HY.

My business unit has been told we have to be out of 42nd st by EOY 27, not 26. Space in HY is extremely limited and very expensive - so most of the people in 42nd st will end up somewhere other than manhattan. Draw your own conclusions
