I know the paper work says up to 60 days from the time it's requested. Im just asking if that is the norm or is it usually faster from folks who have taken this option.

So pretty much your lump sum isn't going to be X-number of paychecks based on number of full years service since you are getting paid every 2 weeks while you are waiting on them to process the lump sum request which you can't submit until the first day of your severance period. In my case I'll get 4 or 5 paychecks during that 60-day period, then the balance of the remainder paid as a lump sum assuming that I submit the request on that first day...which is a Saturday.

I asked the same question. a cooler weeks back and got no response. I'll be submitting a lump sum request in a couple weeks once I start my new job.
And you can't file until the 1st day of your severance period.
