Yawn. Heard zero. Check your measurement it’s definitely “not that big” 🥴
Let’s Go!!!! Pick me!
OP, why so dramatic? Layoffs have been going on for years.
Thank you Captain Ambiguous. How would we know anything without you?
What about deptd in the cic location?
I worry about them. I know some people that work in that hub.
Can tell you they've made the Q3 announcements. A colleague in tears that was dreading it shared this. Feckless manager kept in the dark other than the bullsh-t script 'your job has been impacted' and 'Q3.' Sure it sounds like nonsense, but this is how it worked same time last year, and the year before that. I knew others both times. Management knows nothing until they do, then they read the script and go back to being feckless shitheels. Some care, but the firm keeps them all in the dark. Suppose its a blessing its not the zuck having a 4 am all hands where the spyware was used for LLM and 8,000 gone in a thanos snap. That ch--e deserves bad things.
I doubt the displacement team is ready to downsize many more than usual. Last big wave was in Q4 and was over 1500 people. They haven't demonstrated that they are capable of doing a batch larger than that. I'm guessing if the OPs info is correct, it's more like a large % of people from a specific business unit. That absolutely has been a thing at times over the last 5 years. Downsizing 500 people doesn't sound like a lot in a corp of this size, but if your business group only has 800 people, it IS a bloodbath.
BRING IT ON!!!! LET"S ROCK AND ROLL! So over this nuthouse it's not even funny. I'm retirement age so PLEASE pay me another year with a package.
Bring it on, Charlie. I'm ready.
Probably the same as always
It's always August
