Train AI to replace you!

New focus on expanded documentation they say. Do they think we are id--ts? Just ask us to directly train the AI that is meant to replace us, why don'tcha?

They have brought in three bigwigs from Microsoft and Google - come on. We know what they are here for, and it is disgusting.

I hope folks see what's coming and prepare.

@b0 This is happening in many places.

The only real solution is universal basic income, but unfortunately the rich are controlling what the effect of AI will be.

It should have been an equalizer, where everyone could have the ability to do incredible things! Nope - the rich will continue in their efforts to stay in power, and we have an administration that is gleefully stripping regulations and rights that protect millions of Americans.

@bb Please look into what AI is capable of, and how little input is needed.

Teams should start concealing domain knowledge and should stop documenting it. If forced to document, poison the well by adding misleading information or even incorrect information. Does this hurt your coworkers? Yes it does. Does it also hurt the company if they choose to replace you with a lower cost worker in the east? Absolutely.

Active employees need to see this situation with AI as it is. It's nothing more than a war for your career. What used to be a common and good practice for teams will now be used against them to make them obsolete. George and his buddies have this idea they can sh-t on their western technical staff constantly.

George, do you really think you can hire 5 eastern technologists who have no real engineering education and give them unfettered access to cost-ineffective tokenized AI models without issue? Sure, your 5 easter technologists with AI might reach the total comp for the cost of 1 western engineer, but you'll pay for these decisions time and time again.

What’s the big deal? Both humans and AI like documentation. AI processes it much faster. AI can replace people, but not those who utilize it.
