I hope they talk about the strategic layoffs that are to come for dfs folks

The strategy is to lay people off after they train AI to do their job.
@a7 These were for the layoffs that happened in February. Most were given notice with a separation date of May or June.
This d-mb company is boning card hard making everyone do core inbound calls who don’t even do it regularly. A ton of people are on the verge of leaving but many will wait to be let go for performance and not throwing away long tenures. You’ll have to drag us out hope you’re ready for some awkward call listenings management because nobody gives a F about your stupid customers problems. Instead of hiring more core agents for the merger let’s pull everyone from everywhere and destroy morale lmao d-mb a$$es
@OP saw on the internet “Capital One Financial has informed Illinois state officials of additional job reductions at Discover’s offices in the Chicago area.
The latest filing shows that 1,075 staff will be laid off in May, with a further 81 departures planned for 1 June.”
@OP don’t think they’re gonna be strategic. Feels like update to severance policy suggests very deep and widespread layoffs. Even areas that aren’t duplicated will be lit up. Hope I’m wrong. But so far everything points to very small percentage of legacy DFS surviving outside of front line reps.
This is boring as f-k, just lay me off already and give me severanxe
@OP I doubt it. Nothing was explained so far on DFS side.
