Thread regarding US Foods layoffs

Is anyone worried about the drop in stock

Is the drop in stock price and the poor economy a matter of concern? I am worried if it will lead to more layoffs. Am I barking up the wrong tree on this one? My husband just got laid off and we have a year old daughter so I I am really worried. Anyone think or heard anything?

@220 why?! The truth shall set us all free and change US Foods for the better. As long as you follow through with everything you are saying, that will help.

@21h my best friend figured out it was me so I took it down and am still trying to find out more on what I wrote. If everything I see continue to prove I am right, I will go to the EEOC and post it all over the internet for people to know who we are without risking my job until I find another one.

@1zb I saw that. It was an amazing post. Why did you write it and then remove it? Discrimination has been part of US foods forever and needed to be brought up. Why did you take that down? If layoffs happen cuz of automation, more of you minorities are in trouble since there are many of you working in the distribution centers. The only way to bring change is to call it out.

I just did my first post on opportunity on layoffs.com after I found this site by mistake. Some of us I worked with know about it but I was working and too busy to read it. It is really good. I’m going to tell others I work with. I am
Not scared of the stock. I am
Taking economics and volatility is sometimes normal. I am more worried about opportunity and automation. I was looking at the internet and found something that says us foods has an automation building. The future cuz of those two things is scary.

I am not worried about the company well being but there are some things we can fix. Marketing, security, cheaper health benefits and less jobs moving to other countries are the biggest problems. One gets in the way of growth. The second makes it a dangerous place to work. The third helps with our families in these expensive living times snd the last makes us scared to lose our jobs. All are important but having too expensive benefits and bad security is just unacceptable. It’s our health and safety and there isn’t an excuse for those two being a problem at a USA company.

I would be very worried. I was accidentally invited to the meeting last Tuesday when they sat down with staff. Our competition has not seen the same results we have. I believe we are the only company to have a bad q1.

Yes, we need to grow and none of us in sales are happy about our marketing strategy and leader. Does our voice not count? Do the bad sales numbers matter? Is the lack of a creative and aggressive marketing campaign bother you. Get us the right person and toolbox to drive sales. You have to hold those that fail, at all levels, accountable. Please consider getting us a new marketing chief.
