Employee Survey is a Joke

My manager just discussed it - apparently majority of the OT employees think RTO is fine.

I work out of an office but most folks I collaborate with are virtual! It feels unfair.

And yes, I have started applying externally..not out of spite for RTO but because I am ready for a level up financially. The 2% raises are not helping at all.

@g0 "Employees feel like they are being held hostage." Ouch. Sums up the current OT experience quite nicely. But still, ouch.

Agree with all the others..the surveys are anything but anonymous.
Given that, (and as employees are required to fill them out) when I was there I put a ✅️ right down the center of each question (totally neutral) and never added a comment.
This annual kaboki theater is just a checkmark for the C-Suite to say:
'See we asked and we're doing great and you all are very happy'.🙄
They like to delude themselves into thinking employees are happy. (Exact opposite) Employees feel like they are being held hostage.
I am so happy I am not there anymore.

@ak, they are definitely not anonymous.

Also, I have been in a meeting in when VP encouraged his/her group to let him/her know when they hear negative “cooler talk” among their coworkers.

Also, I would be very careful about what you type in Teams.

@ac your manager is lying to you

First fact, these survey are not in anyway anonymous and that is obviously intentional. If they were truly anonymous you would get a very different picture, a significant majority will be not responding on what the company wants to hear.

@a9 You’re right but my manager claims people favoured RTO in the additional comments section! This coming from a guy who’ll never set foot in an office due to his location.

These surveys are not really anonymous as is claimed. Most people suspect this. So, the results are not valid.

@OP There was no question on the survey that addressed RTO.

I think a lot of pulse stuff gets skewed from the employee distribution.

That's why it doesn't really matter, if the complaints are outnumbered it looks good.
