Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

This job follows me home

Work’s gotten to the point where the exhaustion never really resets anymore. I’m tense all the time, sleep badly, and barely have energy left for anything outside the job. It’s not just stress at this point, it feels like the place is slowly draining me physically too. I need a new job.

I took a package in 2024. I have a wonderful job in a new company that I love. Every day I drive by that dump on my way to my new workplace and count my blessings that I'm free. It was like being paroled truly! 35 years and I got a slice of pizza when I left. I agree...fulk them

Sadly the job market is horrid now, or I think there would be a mass exodus from this corporate nightmare. I work more than 60 hours a week - one weekend day too every week - and barely get any recognition. No place is perfect - but this company has declined so rapidly in the 8 years I’ve been here (can’t imagine the contrast experienced by more tenured employees) under incompetent leadership that leaving really is the best option. I am at the very end of my career but to the younger ones coming in - use this dump like they use us - as a resource and name - once you get a few years - find a place that respects their workers better than this sewer. They are harder to find - but they do exist.

Bro, Pepsi is doing the minimum they can for you. Bare minimum raise and they are actively looking for ways to take more money out of your pocket via compensation and benefit cuts.
Be transparent with your customers. Pepsi does not hire enough people to adequately service sales. It is not your fault.

The only thing that follows me home is my case of beer. I don’t give a fulk!

I’m a TSL with a growth territory and I give these mor0ns nothing. I see my peers dying (yes) that won’t be me. I will use my Amex everyday with customers until they turn it off and stop paying me. F em!!

I couldn’t agree more. I’m part of Beverage team and feel many of the same pressures. We continue to downsize while operating in an increasingly complex environment, and it’s becoming very difficult to keep up with the workload. I truly think my career here is making me sick, both mentally and physically.
I’ve given a lot to PepsiCo over the years, but it’s becoming harder to sustain this pace — all the with looming thought I will eventually be laid off and replaced by someone from Plano.

Definitely do not do more than you should! It will go unnoticed but if you make a mistake. They will talk about that for years and years but never reward your hard work.
