Did you see some of their World Cup kits? We could learn a thing or two from them at this point. At least somebody still seems capable of putting out work people get excited about.

Adidas is extremely strategic and thoughtful about hiring, compared to Nike. Generally speaking they don’t create positions just to create positions, nor pass out promotions/titles just for the he-l of it. If anything, most people have to turn down work or reach critical mass before they get extra headcount. I’m sure there are exceptions here and there but that’s how they generally operate.
@ff you’re wrong. Adidas pay is competitive, you’re just used to the golden handcuffs Nike gave out.
Adidas doesn't pay well if you're in tech. I was an M4 grade before I came to Nike and basically got a $45k raise at the same level of contribution, whereas here I'm only a SWE. I'd need to be at least M3 to make the same amount, and that comes with managing people.
Jerseys, Movies, Product Innovation, Marathons they are ki-ling us on all fronts
Nike is too focused on internal politics over beating the actual competition
