Thought it was just another troll post on this board but it's mid-May and there's no mentions of mid-years on Teamworks. Are they really not happening?

@e5 I just heard the same thing today
They are changing to meets or does not meet so that’s why there was no message yet. HR is retooling to shorten the process to let people go. Managers have been told to mark down every single instance that could be considered does not meet so they will have a case when they cut without severance. This is how terrible this company is. I remember when they used to say lay offs would be handled with dignity and care and people would be taken care of with severance.
360 review request went out this week
They weren't even announced until next week last year. Maybe get to the end of the month first.
@e5 the irony is that when Charlie Scharf started with the company, he complained about how we didn't write good reviews and found a few were one liners. HR Instituted a policy and checked all the reviews to make sure they had at least 50 characters. LMAO.
The wheel spins around. What's old is new again.
there will be a required mid-year discussion for everyone, documented in workday as a check-in. if someone is "meets" or better, no written review is needed and no formal rating is assigned. if someone is "less than meets" a review is required along with the rating. This all will be announced in the next couple of weeks, and the MY review cycle will start mid june as a result.
the talk track on the "why" is to reduce administrative burden, and not "lock in" people's expectations of YE ratings at MY. There are a whole lot of unstated implications as well but draw your own conclusions.
@am interesting, I wonder how that's going to sc--w me over considering my manager has rescheduled then cancelled every single 1 on 1 we had scheduled since mid-February.
my manager confirmed no more mid-years unless a manager wants to give someone an IM at that time (e.g., to help justify firing them at year end if they haven't improved).
@ar Mid-years in the past were due by the end of May.
Don't they communicate about mid year stuff towards the end of May or beginning of June?
It’s not mid-year yet.
Like the previous couple of cycles, you will get the emergency self-assessment request at the last minute while you're on PTO and have to have it done yesterday.
They keep changing the dates for when these are due.
@aj This. The mid-year is replaced by bi-weekly 1:1 check-ins that are logged in Workday.
They didn't get rid of the mid-year, they made 25 of them.
I’ve received check-in initiated by my manager. There is also request for self assessment with dates being within Q2 2026. Is this a new way of doing reviews or it is something else?
Too many people were being rated Meets at mid year and then Inconsistently Meets at year end with no logically documented reasoning.
Gotta hit that bell curve and nobody cares that false performance reviews are happening via fake and falsified ratings.
The Meets rating at mid year serves as evidence that the reviews are a company scam to help them fire even more employees indiscriminately and without severance.
I have seen these fake reviews more than once to people in my group, and am hearing that it is going to happen a lot more, and company-wide. Nobody safe around here.
Stagecoach gonna run u down eventually
@OP I’ve heard they might be out.
We can only hope.
