Anything on the horizon ? I presume after March that we are clear until October ?

@xg if that's true then why do anything other than the bare minimum? If mgr can't give input into layoffs then working hard is a waste of time
End of June. There are lists but Sr. leadership is keeping them from the front line managers. They're Just telling managers to prepare for another WFR before the end of the fiscal, but not asking for any input on names, or letting managers know how affected their teams will be. Every employee is reduced to a cost on a balance sheet, not necessarily what value they bring to the company.
@wf Ireland is safe too
Im expecting cuts to International teams most.
If you are outside of canada you are less safe.
IMHO, focus on what you can control. More layoffs are coming.
First, start networking, update your CV. Flip the switch in LinkedIn that is visable only to recruiters that you are looking.
Save at least 6 months cash to live (including having to pay for COBRA if you are in the US..depending on the size of your family/dependents you cover on your medical it could run into the thousands per month).
Have an emergency plan in place. Focus on what you can control.
No layoffs until 2027 calendar year
Look for actions take after we finalize annual review where managers are forced to stack rank employees and give them a rating between 1 and 4. HR will mandate that a certain % of employees need to be ranked 1 (worst rank) via the calibration exercise. The those employees will be let go and the 2 will be put on performance improvement plan that includes mandatory use of AI tools and RTO and the employee with a 2 ranking do not improve/comply in 3 months they will be let go too. This is nothing new, however, the company will find any reason to let people go especially without severance. This is all short term strategy to make us more attractive to potential buyers who want the least employees as possible since they will replace us with their own folks. Our best days are behind us so don’t expect morale to improve even if the quarterly results meet or exceed expectations. We are like a wounded deer in the wild just staying alive.
End of June and July
I think you should prepare yourself for midyear layoffs. My group has seen quiet end of June/beginning of July cuts the last couple of years.
