Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Acronym questions

I have a phone screen for a WF position next week. Can anyone give me a short synopsis of what these systems are? (or let me know what the acronyms mean?) They are listed in the job description and I want to sound at least slightly educated on them.

QTT, JIRA, ECaR, EDM, Confluence

I think "P.O.L.A.C.K" needs little explanation

ECAR - Enterprise Collections and Recovery. Houses Home Equity data for one thing. ECAR Home Equity data is very complex to work with. Do not miss it at all.

ECaR is Enterprise Collections and Recovery, used to be YOM (You Owe Me). Primarily used to service HEQ (Home Equity Loans/Lines of Credit) accounts along with PLLs (Personal Lines and Loans). Been a long time since I've worked in that system, it might be doing more or less than that now.

Long ago i contracted to wells and didn't know an acronym during the interview - so I asked. Turned out the Hiring Manager knew what it was but not what the acronym itself stood for. I think just asking helped me get the job.

I like how some comments described the acronyms with other acronyms.

JIRA is used in ECMO continuous improvement. ECAR is used by Home Equity. QTT is Quality Testing Tool for ECMO QA Home Lending.

Confluence - that's a wiki product from Atlasian.

JIRA - another tool from Atlasian. That's to manage Agile activities.

EDM - depending on context this is likely Enterprise Data Management. It's basically the DBAs and folks that manage database platforms.

ECaR - don't remember and I don't feel like looking it up.

You can just google Jira and Confluence. eCAR is a group at Wells. I can't remember what they do. I don't know what QTT is. I would ask the HR rep to detail those acronyms for you. They should be able to do that.

Focus your answers around the STAR method when framing your abilities. Situation, task, action, result, WFB uses this format in almost all interviews

Wells and their fuvkin acronyms. That is all you need to know to not take the job. Numerous undefined acronyms and corporate speak is part of their dysfunctional culture. Being educated doesn't mean you know all their id--tic acronyms. The only one you need to know is GTFO out of Wells Fargo and their bullschitt.
