They are not giving the Severance upfront. They are making it as bi-weekly pay. The minute you land other job, they will stop the bi-weekly paycheck. It was mentioned multiple places in the severance document. How will they know? Don't forget they can still run checks on our SSN's and payrolls. They win, if you get a job. Meantime you will go through he-l of stress in finding one.

Use your brain. How would Fidelity even know that you've been hired somewhere else?
Let's use some critical thinking, everyone. If you get employed elsewhere, you will continue receiving the severance. If you apply and land a job back in Fidelity, the severance ceases once you're an active employee again.
Wrong…you can take the money even if you land a job somewhere else.
