So what is it. Its time to start thinking about summer time surplus. We all know it happens, next up will be October and move right into Nov. So the question. WHEN !

@mq It is you who is wrong because lower seniority workers cannot be laid off before high seniority workers because if a surplus is declared, the company must offer VTP and that goes by seniority starting at the top so of course high seniority workers are anxiously going to take it and those workers with over 31 years service are the ones who get the two years pay. And we'll be laughing non-stop for two years - then taking distributions on our 401k and pension money along with social security. Retirement is good as a union worker. Too bad for boot lickers who ki$$ed a$$ to get their manager job and now get $krew'd by the company that they so loved and trusted. Hahaahaaa...
@mq Much of what you said is so wrong it proves you know nothing. For example, nobody in my group below me in seniority can be laid off. The company must first declare a surplus and then offer VTP to the number of workers equal to the surplus number. It goes by seniority as to who gets the VTP. Of course the highest seniority workers are the ones who get it and those are the ones getting two years termination pay to leave. Haha it would $uk to be a manager getting the tiny severance pay.
@m9 I know you would love to recoup some small portion of those expensive union dues you’ve paid all this time, but trust me when I tell you that you will not get a dollar to leave. They’ll make sure of it.
@m9 , wrong on both counts. They’ll drive many out through attrition & others via manufactured, contrived “terminations”. Some will be laid off, but NOT anyone with two years severance pay in their contract(s). Make no doubt about it…T place will do anything and everything to avoid having to make good on that. Just when you think they can’t go any lower…. they’ll show you how wrong you are.
We're all going to be laid off eventually. I'm just glad to be a Leg T union worker because I'll get two years termination pay when the inevitable layoff happens for me. It would $u-k to be a low level manager because they only get small severance pay while I get way more. Sorry manager but your boot licking strategy ended up being a bad choice. No matter how you look at it, I get more and you get less when we do get laid off. Haha it would $u-k to be you, you d1-k head.
Nope , it’s in the leg T contract for craft. 2 years for me if surplussed ! Can’t wait to get the axe ! Lol
Cut to 70K employees now. That's the only issue ki-ling our share price, overstaffing. Time to get serious about right-sizing our FTE resources. Quit nickel and diming us!
@aw you’re sadly misinformed
How does severance work at this company?
@aw , Prince pipe dreamer.
YESSSS!!! BRING IT BIATCHES!
Surplus me please. I’m ready for my two years severance.
Off payroll 7/1
WINTER IS COMING!
@aa I have see 7 markets and 4 markets and now 8 today. Who knows 🤷♂️
There will be surplus every month from June to maybe October for those that would not relocate to Dallas.
For those who have drank the koolaid that is not RTO.
People are also hearing of 8 markets in retail with territory to follow. Digital and indirect is the end goal for 80% or so before 2030
No, projects are ramped up now, Senior Management needs to make their numbers. They'll keep you around until october.
May, June AND July
