Town Hall Megathead

Personally, I so appreciate hearing about our strategy from some dude who has only been here for six months.

@e4 seems he's back at the same strategy again...the amount of money poured into Allegiance and the change that's being done is incompatible, the investment return is just not there IMO.

This was the U.S. Employer (Cigna Healthcare) town hall. So Bryan Holgerson’s org. I thought it was pretty good overall.

To clarify, Shankar M. has been in the strategy/Allegiance job for 6 months. But he said he’s been at Cigna 4 years. Seems like a good guy but I’m not sure what he’s actually done before. He was in charge of the “Vitality” work that didn’t produce any results and went nowhere, but that may not have been all his fault. It was a d*mb idea from the beginning.

@as

"every company is in survival mode there’s is no more being nice or concerned about anything but the bottom line"

Did you knock the boot out of your mouth long enough to check on that?

"The Cigna Group reported strong 2025 financial results with a full-year net income of $6.0 billion (or $22.18 per share)."

"The Cigna Group also reported a $1.65 billion profit for the three months ended March 31, 2026, according to its earnings release.

Profit was up 25% year over year. Total revenue was $68.5 billion for the quarter, a 5% increase from the same period last year. Adjusted income from operations was under $2.1 billion, a 12% increase year over year."

Yep, just a poor little mom and pop, struggling every day to keep the lights on. 😅🤣🤣😅

I'm here to tell you about a new invention called a "period". See that little dot to the left? That's one. A period is commonly used to indicate the end of a "sentance" (beyond the scope of this tutorial) and to transition to the next one.

Periods help break up a message into easier-to-read chunks, as opposed to one big blob. Maybe you should try one someday. Contact your local elementary school for more information.

Look Cigna guys smell the black roses every thing is changing with the Mega for now and every company is in survival mode there’s is no more being nice or concerned about anything but the bottom line and for companies Cigna is at least straight about it and provides its staff the truth about healthcare and it’s just not substantial so times are changing and the current healthcare in America is too

I didn't hear about a town hall today. Was it for a particular department? If so, you'll have to mention it if you want the rest of us to know what's going on.

Also, whether you mention it or not, your leadership knows you had a townhall, and depending on the size of your group, your a bit less anonymous.

Please give more information for departments not invited.

@OP - he later said 4 years with Cigna. Sounds like 6 month's in his current role in leadership but overall 4 years. Probably a friend or fam of newer SLTs.
My observation is that I'm seeing a lot of new leaders who are friends, who openly admit having group chat with each other (not professional), look around top to bottom, Cigna is taken by the same people who know each other outside of Cigna, and they're changing everything for good including offshoring all good paying US jobs, pushing out one of the best experienced leads and strategists out and replacing them with new people who look confused and mostly lie -
