There are two "caps" under UK laws. First there is a max £21.5k limit an employer has to pay out due to the time worked by an employee (how long they have been with the company).
Secondly, there is a £30k limit on redundancy pay before you have to pay tax.
@a5 The upside is ... you keep getting paid whilst you look for other jobs.
Trying to decide if there’s any upside to staying.
