Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Lifetime Discount

Has anyone been able to get their 5 year discount if you only had a few months before your 5 year date? They seem to be fu--ing me with 2 months to go.

@vz how have they been getting rid of it? Now I’m nervous. Got laid off last year.

They've been "getting rid of the lifetime discount" for years.

It's a legal risk and they know exactly how much money the lifetime discount crowd spends. Who would honestly wear Nike over Hoka at full price?

Why would you even want it? I got laid off a few years ago and haven’t bought a single Nike product since. Fu-k them.

They are ending the lifetime discount after 5 years rule soon though. It would be a di-k move to change it and impact those on Salary continuation

@OP You might still get it. When I was laid off in 2024, even though I was out in April, we were paid for a couple more months. For all intents and purposes, I was with Nike through June.. not April. That might help impact your Employee Store bennies.

Assuming you are still on payroll through your 5 years, you should get it by their rules

Why would you want to give EH more of your money?

It was asked
The reply was "in fairness of all employees, we have to stick to the 5 year requirement"

You should ask for it. All they can do is say no.

Plus they could use the sales.
