Thread regarding BNSF Railway layoffs

MONEY !!!!!

The worst thing to happen to Bnsf railway was , " Berkshit Hathaway". Trading peoples livelihoods for profits. No different than when they were burning people out of their homes back in the day to lay tracks !!!

@1aw Yeah bnsf has way too much management, especially at the mechanical level. Way too many 28's and 29's for small shops ?????

100% agree. After years at UP and now with BNSF. BNSF is so far behind!

@aq Union Pacific has a different business plan than BNSF. They don't have 50 managers to the one employee and have ridiculous amounts of open overtime because of mass layoffs to name a few things. All that stuff costs a ton of money. Their communication is like trying to get hold of your congressman; its none existent. They act like on big happy family but you are not allowed to talk out of rank. They sit up in their ivory tower and balk at any idea. Your "zero reason" comes with ignorance, no offense. I could walk through BNSF today and point out 20 different wasteful spending practices that they still do to this day. They are too proud to take any advice from anyone.

Union pacific is getting ready for layoffs too. Should be zero reason why they are profiting more than bnsf. Whoever writes your contracts must be braindead. They are going to be running triple trains before long. Coal is dead and the only reason that they keep the coal lines open is because trump threw them a life line until 2030. Once he leaves, bye bye. They are going to do some major stuff heres soon. Save your money, this has to be for sale.
