Fidelity orders employees back to office full time

Starting 9/26 employees are told to be in office 5 days per week. No doubt BNY will follow the same mandate as they they are always in lockstep with the other financial companies.

What i find funny is that the people that decide on how many days we should come into the office, all have luxury apartments minutes from the office.

@12q glad you saved it. I remember that as well but they’ll deny it!

I still have an email from a higher up that they see “no climate” where we will need to be in the office 3 days yet alone more. What a joke!

@ad I prefer the one that came after that if we have to do more then we’ve failed as a business

Four close friends have recently left on their own, all at companies that pay better and have more WFH flexibility. Now I ask myself why I stay, and it’s really just habit.

I'm sure that e-mail will be going out by June 1. This place is a cancer.

BNY, always a follower, never a leader.

@as And in my location, they ARE quitting voluntarily.... in DROVES.

Of course this becomes another RTO filter. Make commuting harder, make life more expensive, and suddenly ‘voluntary attrition’ skyrockets without paying a dime in severance. The industry wants U.S. headcount down and India headcount up, and this policy is the accelerator pedal. BNY’s algorithms already assume people will quit on their own — that’s the whole design. And yes, it’s the same pattern everyone on this site keeps pointing out: tighten the sc--ws, wait for people to leave, call it ‘strategy.'

They will cause its always been the plan. BNY cant think for themselves. Boasting about being the AI leaders in the industry but cant bring in upgraded systems and cant think outside the box like allowing more wfh for processes and people who can actually work it
