Nike has just posted multiple openings at IRC to backfill the roles that were laid off.
So, in other words, it was not a layoff, but simply outsourcing.

How is hiring full‑time employees in another country considered outsourcing? We’re a global company operating in 170 countries. This move is simply expanding operations globally as well, not outsourcing.
Also, our CEO intentionally moved Tech under Operations. So what exactly is wrong here?
Moving the work to a different internal org is not outsourcing. But yes, duh, ITC has been growing for over 5-6 years.
They have been hiring there for months.
